Tindersister

Totally getting bonus points in Tindersister's research to see if I'm a good match for Tinderguy.

De Kleine Dood

THE LITTLE DEATH

each night a part of me dies

I embrace it
caress it with my fingers
whisper sweet nothings

I lose myself
in the game

the symphonies playing
in my head

the crescendo sets in
louder and louder

and then there’s nothing

only silence

each night a part of me dies
but it is never enough

Feeks

SHREW

I take her with me
on the street, in the park
- in my dreams

She stole my heart
She broke it, wounded it
before she gave it back

It makes me sick to think of her
like this, to dream

- to wish I could feel her lips
on mine once more

(I don’t know what I would do)

The Forest

Someday I will learn how to colour a comic, or get someone else to do it for me. ;_;

Kalila + Penelope

Messing around with watercolours for my Kalila story. I try, I try ~

And someday I'll make some good scans.

Le Visiteur + Raph

Voilà c'qui va s'passer !

Happy Birthday, Raph !

(One day I won't be as lazy and I'll draw different face shapes. However, today is not that day.)

(I hate his hair. I want it.)

Fantastic!

Ok but I really, really love Wham!.

(I may or may not have thought about actually putting together an outfit like George is wearing in their Wake Me Up video. One day, one day...)

Tucker (and others)

First is a lazy selfportrait sort of thing,
second is Malcolm Tucker (Peter Capaldi) from the brilliant tv series The Thick of It,
third is a logo I did for Madame Risquée's Amsterdam Burlesque Weekend.

I think this project month has been the best thing to happen to me when it comes to getting rid of that art block and finding motivation to draw again. Good times.

Collage

(Old work, from late '10/early '11, I think. )

"Your work is too comic-like, I don't think you really belong here."

And that's when I quit Fine Art and went for Comic Design instead.
