Kapitein Hinkel

It took a while, but here it is! The whole story of Kapitein Hinkel, or Captain Hopscotch!
I graduated with this story in July, which means I am now an actual Comic Artist?
Anyhow, I hope you like the story, and I suppose there's gonna be more of Hinkel later ~

--------

PS: I am still confused about the Finals talks we had, where my tutors were incredibly set on the idea the story of Hinkel
had existential themes and deeper meanings to it. (haha u wot mate)

I am still kind of bitter the students don't get to make a fun story purely for entertainment value,
everything always has to be "deep" and ""meaningful".
(But hey, at least I have lots of time for fun stories now ~ )

Finals

"So what made you draw this comic? Why do you want to tell this particular story? Why do you think people will want to read this comic?"

"Lol idk
 #failnals

These are the first pages of my graduation project, Kapitein Hinkel (or Captain Hopscotch). It's about a little cat-boy with one leg, who's about to go on a huge adventure trying to find his parents.
The project is basically a teaser/sneak preview of what's to come after I graduate, a kick-off for a Kapitein Hinkel series. :')

Also the colours are still missing, but coming soon ~

Angoulême

[translation]

Angoulême
I haven’t drawn in days
weeks

The crowd shuffles in
Drenched in inspiration
I try to sketch

Tents and drawings everywhere
And people

People

So many people

Endless inspiration
And I haven’t drawn in days
